Physical damage(aligned with earth element, materium and flesh) can be subdivided into subtypes dependent on weapon used to inflict damage. Defensive/Offensive bonuses may apply to specific subtype:
Missle damage - from arrows/bolts.
Projectile damage - from throwable weapons.
Stab damage - from stabbing by spear-type weapon
Slash damage - from slashing by swords
Cutting damages - fro axe-type weapons
Crush damage - from blunt weapon trauma
Additional weapon classes could create their own damage type, such as flails/chains could be classified as "Chain damage" subtype instead of generic "Blunt damage".
Effects: Increased realism and diversity in equipment choice creating more builds/setups to counter or increase damage.
