Most melee players are often disadvantaged vs enemy that has ranged attacks. Instead of a variety of compensating stats and skills are added to melee classes, a simple change of battle mechanics will tip the scale back.
Melee items used in battle would generate bonus damage with each hit:
if there wasn't a hit in last 10 seconds the bonus damage disappears.
Each connecting hit adds 25% of weapon current final damage(x1.25 growth) :1st hit=100% damage,2nd hit=125% damage, 3rd hit =156% damage, increasing the damage output each time the hit lands.
