Portals represent instant teleportation, reducing travel time.
One-way: Portals that only work one way, often without leaving exit portal.
Two-way:Portals traversable in both directions
Limited vs Unlimited: limited portals allow 1-N travels through, unlimited portals exist until recast by owner.

Waypoint: Permanent portal represented as location on the level(aka "Level portal") which allows access to other waypoints(some games like Diablo2 require "activation" of each waypoint by traveling to it). Can be also represented as a spell("Teletravel") or consumable("Portal stone") allowing access to the portal network at cost of mana/consumable.

Map teleport: Teleport to map location. Usually a spell, but "magic maps" can allow such travel by clicking on location.
